Frank Baum's classic novel, ‘The Wonderful Wizard of Oz’, follows the story of two very unlikely friends and their journey of becoming the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good. With a deep exploration of the complex friendship between two very different personalities, contrasting outlooks, and a shared love interest, and the subtextual corrupt rule of the Wizard of Oz threatening a seemingly perfect world, everybody and anybody is bound to get caught up in the captivating storytelling, wonderful theatrics, nuanced and interesting characters, and, of course, composer Stephen Schwartz’s soaring and memorable melodies.
