With a deep exploration of improbable friendship between conflicting personalities, contrasting outlooks, and a shared love interest, and the deeper social commentary on the corrupt rule of the Wizard of Oz threatening the world, everybody and anybody is bound to get caught up in the smart storyline, breathtaking visual effects, captivating characters, and, of course, composer Stephen Schwartz’s tight rhymes and beautiful melodies.
